La Via Alchemica captures the suspended moment of transformation — that invisible threshold where matter leaves its original form behind and draws closer to a new essence. The work unfolds as a diptych: two kindred, complementary presences in silent dialogue, evoking the alchemical principle of the duality that transmutation requires.

The surface, built up through textured layers and ethereal glazes, carries vertical drips that recall a process of purification, like fine rain washing away the impurities of the visible. Rarefied tones — powdery blues, milky whites and warm glints of oxide and gold — rise and recede, suggesting an inner geography rather than a real landscape.

At the base, a denser, more vibrant band of material marks the symbolic border between the known and the unknown: it is the threshold of the opus, the point where dark matter prepares for its own elevation. Metallic inclusions and irregular textures bear witness to the tension between weight and lightness, between falling and rising.

This work does not describe a place but a state of being. It portrays passage — the slow, necessary time of metamorphosis.
