Description
At the heart of the canvas, Lux Graalis Occulti appears as a luminous enigma, an alchemical interweaving of light and material. The cracks of the paste, like scars of time, open symbolic passages across a living surface that breathes and changes under the viewer’s gaze. Layered with gestures both instinctive and considered, the acrylics give life to an inner geography of depth and contrast: dark areas dissolve into iridescent gleams, evoking an initiatory path towards a hidden revelation.
Gold leaf, fragmented and set like a precious relic, alludes to the sacredness of a concealed mystery — perhaps the Grail itself — whose light (lux) is not openly revealed but filters through the gaps, suggesting rather than showing. The work thus becomes a contemporary reliquary, a symbol of humanity’s reach towards the unknown, towards a centre that both eludes and fascinates.
Lux Graalis Occulti is a visual meditation on the search for the sacred in the formless, on the light that hides in the crack, on the gold that shines in the silence of things left unsaid.
