  Essential

  •
  •
  •

The "Essential" series grows out of a search for visual and conceptual reduction, in which the superfluous is stripped away so that the very essence of matter and form can emerge. In this cycle of works, attention centres on the expressive power of emptiness, silence and measure, turning the painted surface into a space of pure contemplation. Through a restrained palette and a considered use of texture, layering and raised relief, each composition explores the tension between balance and imperfection. Essential forms, reduced to the archetype, become a means of sounding what lies beneath surface perception, inviting the viewer to slow down and to reconnect with the most intimate and essential dimension of existence. "Essential" is a journey back to the origin: a visual manifesto in which colour, texture and space converse to create an experience of absolute calm and deep presence.

  Φανέρωσις

  •
  •
  •

The Φανέρωσις series explores the moment in which the invisible becomes visible, when matter becomes a threshold between what is hidden and what is revealed. The surfaces, shaped by crackled textures and traversed by pigments and precious glints, are like memories surfacing from the silence of matter. Each painting is an act of revelation: a light that seeps out from the depths, a secret that lets itself be glimpsed, a fragment that becomes the symbol of something vaster and universal.

  Gli effimeri universi della Dea

The Ephemeral Universes of the Goddess

  •
  •
  •

“..across the world, for centuries, patriarchal culture demonised the figure of woman, at times subjugating her with brutality, with the sole aim of confining her to marginal tasks or roles; false beliefs and widespread ignorance even culminated in the witch hunts, in which thousands of women lost their lives. In the series of works “GLI EFFIMERI UNIVERSI DELLA DEA” I want to play with this invisible web of goddesses, sibyls, priestesses and shamans, paying homage to them and telling of their Universe, which has survived in spite of everything.. I imagine it with a woman’s face! It is a magical Universe, or rather a thousand Universes, like: the faces, the nuances, the talents, the energies, the depths – it is everything that for millennia was crushed and demonised and that is now emerging. In my view the time has come to give it the space it rightly deserves. The time has come to recognise and respect the GODDESS... The time is ripe.. ”
