Custodes Veritatis stands like a silent sentinel of an ancient, unreachable truth. Its surface, shattered and rippled by crackle paste, recalls ancient codices, forgotten maps or relics of lost knowledge. Layered acrylics create a visual landscape poised between chaos and order, where colour becomes the voice of archaic, unfathomable forces.

Gleams of gold rise from the fissures, as if truth, however hidden, always finds a way to reveal itself. The gold leaf, applied with an almost ritual intent, becomes a symbol of the sacred, of partial revelation and of mystery kept safe. This is not a truth shouted but whispered: concealed in the details, in the fractures, in the silences of the material.

Custodes Veritatis invites us to contemplate what lies beyond the visible, suggesting that truth is not something we possess but something we protect. The work becomes a contemporary totem — a call to honour the invisible sacred that dwells within us and goes beyond us.
