There is a moment that cannot be held. It is the opening in the crack, the right moment that never returns — yet in the work, it stays.

Kairos — from the Greek καιρός, the “opportune time”, the decisive instant that, in ancient tradition, must be seized as it passes — becomes living matter here. Sand, marble dust, crackle paste and bronze are layered on a 100 × 100 cm canvas, in a fine balance between strength and fragility. The surface becomes an inner landscape: cracks that are not flaws but doors, fractures through which light emerges.

The work is born of the silence of the studio, of slow gestures that listen to the material. Every layer tells of time passing; every fracture is a threshold. Bronze, beige and burnt earths recall the primordial earth, an origin that needs no words.

Kairos cannot be measured. It is lived. It is seized. It is let go. And here it is: a threshold.
