Katechon captures the tension suspended between collapse and preservation. Inspired by the ancient idea of the “restrainer” — the force that holds back chaos — its cracked, textured surface embodies a silent resistance to inevitable fragmentation.

Made without gold leaf, the work keeps a raw, almost ascetic presence. Layers of acrylic and crackle paste suggest a landscape on the verge of transformation, where every fissure tells a story of resistance, struggle and delayed dissolution.
